In the novel Of Mice and Men, There are unique characters such as Lenny, Lenny is big and had large pale eyes and dragged his feet a little. Also lenny was a bit slow mentally. He was also describe somewhat like a bear. George was a small man who had a temper he would get mad at Lenny because, Lenny would forget a lot of things. Candy was a swamper. A swamper is like a cleaner. Candy was an old stoop shouldered man who was somewhat nice. Curley is a young man with a brown face and brown eyes with tightly curled hair. He is mean I can tell because he yells at george for not letting Lenny talk because George knows that Lenny will mess up their chances.

In the novel Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck gives the characters unique descriptions. One of them being Lennie. Lennieis huge and lumbering and the opposite of George. Geaorge is described as physically small with very sharp features. Candy is “a tall, stoop-shouldered old man … . He was dressed in blue jeans and carried a big push-broom in his left hand.” He is also a swamper, which is basically him cleaning out the bunkhouse. Curley is the boss' son. The first time he meets Lennie, he sees him as a threat. Lennie, being so big a burly, would be seen as a threat to curley, because he is a boxer. Lastly, there is Slim. Slim is very tall, and well respected around the farm. When the subject of killing Candy's dog comes up, Candy turns to Slim for the final decision.

The novel, Of Mice and Men, portrays very different and strange characters. There are three that I find most interesting, George, Curley, and Slim. George is a stocky man with a short temper. He’s been taking care of a man named Lennie, for he is a little slower than most. George is skeptical about Lennie because so far he’s done nothing but find a way to get them into some sort of trouble. Curley is also a character I find interesting because he tries really hard to seem or come across as tough. Curley picks his fights very wisely so no matter what the outcome is, he’s the one that looks toughest. He does this so if he loses people will just think the fight was unfair to begin with. The last character that stands out to me is Slim. He’s very interesting to me because he has this undying grace about him that makes him a role model to most of the men on the farm. “..he moved into the room and he moved with majesty only achieved by royalty and master craftsmen.” I’m curious to know why or how he got the way he is.

In the opening parts of the novela Of Mice and Men i found some characters very unique. i found the characters goerge and lenny to be the most unique characters that we have met so far. i think Lenny is a tall kind of chuby guy. Lenny isn't the smartest guy either and he's kind of doofy. Lenny and George are family even though they don't have any blood relation. Goerge had promised Lenny's mother that he would look after him. The two of them go around trying to find some manual labor so that maybe one day they can live their dream and have a farm with some bunny's. George is also the responsible one he acts like the father of Lenny more than his friend. Lenny isn't completly useless without George, Lenny is a very strong man he can lift heavy objects and will do whtaever you ask him to do, as long as he remembers. When George and Lenny are infront of people George is the one who does all of the talking because Lenny could say something dumb or do something dumb to screw up their chances at getting a job or in trouble with towns people.

In the novel Of Mice and Men, there are many different characters. For example, George is a small but quik man. He is smart and hardworking, though, his friend Lennie holds him back. On page 2, John Steinbeck describes George, " The first man was small and quick, dark of the face, with restless eyes and sharp, strong features. Every part of him was defined: small, strong hands, slender arms, a thin boney nose." Another character that i thni is interesting, is the character of Curley. Curley is a very pugnacious person. He is always looking for a fight, especially with the big guys, which causes a threat for Lennie. On page 25, John Strinbeck describes Curley, "At that moment a younge man came into the bunk house; a thin younge man with a brown face, with brown eyes and a head of tightly curled hair. he wore a work glove on his left hand, and, like the boss, he wore high-heeled boots." In my oppinion, i think that Curley is very imperious and maybe, cause trouble for George and Lennie.

At this point in the story I find Lennie to be the most interesting of characters due to how childlike and immature he acts, whether he means to be brazen or not. On page 2 in the book it deeply defines Lennie’s characteristics. Lennie is “a huge man, shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes, with wide, sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the way a bear drags his paws. His arms did not swing at his sides, but hung loosely.” (text to media connection with “Seinfeld”). This characterizes Lennie has a large and strong man but does not go into detail about his intelligence. Lennie frequently forgets what George, his acquaintance, tells him and forgets things that have recently happened to them. For example, George told Lennie to assuage and not speak to the boss when they get to there next working area, “‘Now when we go in to see the boss, what you gonna do?’ ‘I . . . I,’ Lennie thought. His face grew tight with thought. ‘I . . . ain’t gonna say nothin’.” Sure enough, when the two arrive to see the boss, Lennie defies George by speaking to the boss. Another example of this is when George and Lennie are on there way to their new working place. George tells Lennie to hide in the brush close by if he finds any trouble like he always did before, skeptic that he will remember. This reveals foreshadowing of Lennie getting in trouble to be very expected. Lennie is frequently making blunders that are critical to the novel. As a result of Lennie’s foolishness I find him to be a very interesting character in the story.

When John Steinbeck introduces a new character in the novel "Of Mice and Men", he gives an excellent description of them. For instance, in the beginning of the novel when he introduces George and Lenny. He describes George and Lenny as opposites. He says George is small and quick. "Dark of the face, with restless eyes and sharp, strong features, every part of him was defined: small, strong hands, slender arms, a thin and bony nose." Then for Lenny it says he was a huge man. Lenny was "shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes, with wide, sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily." Lenny was slow and George was the brains. (page 2) ---i love english class.

In the novel Mice and Men by, John Steinbeck you are introduced to many interesting characters. After reading the first few chapters of this novel I am very intrigued by the character George. Steinbeck describes George as “the first man was small and quick, dark of face. With restless eyes and sharp, strong features. Every part of him was defined: small, strong hands, slender arms, a thin and bony nose.” George is also perceived as somewhat of a father figure to another character in the book, Lennie. For instance, when Lennie is drinking out of a small lake George yells at Lennie and tells him if he keeps drinking the water he will become sick. George tells people how much Lennie gets on his nerves, but he is very protective of him. From the beginning of the book George come off as this mean, short tempered guy. Although he still sticks with Lennie, even if he gets on his nerves. “You can't keep a job and you lose me ever' job I get.” Even though George could leave Lennie, and have a job he is successful at, he doesn't. This makes me think that George isn't as tough as the author makes him out to be. Even though he complains about Lennie to other people, he really cares about him and considers him his best friend.

In the beginning of the novel, Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck introduces the main characters to the readers. The most intriguing character to me is Slim. The reason way I think Slim is intriguing is because all the men on the ranch look to him for advice and see him as a god like figure. “He was a jerkline skinner, the prince of the ranch, capable of driving ten, sixteen, even twenty mules with a single line to the leaders. He was capable of killing a fly on the wheeler’s butt with a bull whip without touching the mule. There was gravity in his manner and a quiet so profound that all talk stopped when he spoke. His authority was so great that his word was taken on any subject, be it politics or love.” Steinbeck portrayed Slim as the best at everything he did. All the men on the ranch had a great deal of respect and admiration towards Slim. They always looked to him for answers and any problems they had. Based on Steinbeck’s characterization of Slim, later in the book another character might have to look to Slim for help with a problem.

In the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck he reveals many very interesting charectors. One being Lennie who is loving on one hand but can lose his temper easily. This is probably because he is not as smart as most of the people he is around. He is a big grizzly mean with strength that he is not even aware of. Another character is Lennies best friend George who stands by Lennie as his guide and friend even though he is disabled. This shows George is a stand up guy who is also loving and he is protective of Lennie. There is another character Curley who is not perticularly fond of Lennie because Lennie is big and Curley is small and hates big people. Curley has tight brown curls and is mean to everyone because he feels that because hes small everyone looks down to him and he wants people to fear him.
